About CAA Conferences
Each year a writers conference is held by the CAA in Canada in locations from coast to coast.
- The 87th Annual Conference: hosted by the Alberta Branch in Edmonton, Alberta July 3-6, 2008 (see CAA Alberta Branch’s CanWrite! 2008 site for details).

These conferences allow writers to meet with other people of like interest from across this wide and wonderful country. Publishers and agents attend these conferences, workshops are given, and readings are welcome highlights. The Awards Dinner is a big event with some of the most prestigious writing prizes available to Canadian writers.

CAA Literary Awards
The Awards Banquet hosts the presentations of the CAA Literary Awards with readings by the award winners.

There are always special arrangements with local hotels or university dorms for accommodation while attending a CAA CanWrite! Conference.
University Accommodation
- A block of rooms has been reserved in Schaffer Hall, the University of Alberta residences, where guests can stay for $50/night plus taxes.
