Help Us Assist You
The Canadian Authors Association would like to assist you in the best way we can. Our goal is to serve to the best of our ability.
"Writers Helping Writers" is more than a motto, but the CAA is primarily run by volunteers so our resources are limited.

- CAA members may obtain contact information in the CAA Members Area (user name and password needed).

We May Not Respond
We regret that we don’t answer all link suggestions—the volume of e-mail is simply too high.
Link Suggestions We Look At
Our site focuses on the needs of Canadian writers, especially the needs of our members. Your link suggestion has a much higher probability of being looked at and included on our site if the site meets our target audience:
- We look for sites with compelling content instructive in the craft of writing and the business of writing.
- We value sites with current and accurate paid writing markets or contests.
- Site content should be static. This site does not normally link to transient content.
Link Suggestions We Discard
If you are recommending linking to a site that contains one or more of these elements, it is highly unlikely that we will link to you:
- Sites containing merely personal writing, opinion or off-topic information will not be included.
- We do not link to "link farms" (pages willing to link to anybody, in order to attempt to raise their visibility). We link to pages because the content has value, not to gain reciprocal links.
- We seldom link to sites built with frames unless the entire site is relevant. (More about the difficulties of linking to frames-based sites.)
More Information
More detailed information is available on the Writing Links Overview page about what sort of content we are looking for.
